Swirl Girl
Huntington was a turning point in my life that helped me step up and become a leader. I appreciated the tough classes and caring professors who challenged me to serve Christ through my business.

Instead of job hunting her senior year of college, Melissa applied for a small business loan. After managing her hometown Swiss Swirl ice cream shop for two summers, she jumped at the chance to buy it—with encouragement from her parents and professors. She then proceeded to ace Huntington’s Starting the Entrepreneurial Small Business class while holding down five part-time jobs and carrying a full class load! By the time May rolled around, Melissa graduated on Saturday and opened for business on . . . (you guessed it!) Sunday afternoon.

Why Huntington?

My sister and some friends graduated from HU, so I was familiar with it. After looking at a few Michigan schools, I visited and felt comfortable immediately. It was the right fit.
